Why I Started This Website

As you may have noticed, social media is constantly changing, and new restrictions are making it harder to share our crafting journey on Facebook and Instagram. Between limits on links in posts and algorithms designed to keep you scrolling on the platform instead of sending you to a tutorial, staying connected has started to feel a little like we’re fighting a battle we just can’t win!

So, I decided it was time to create a space where we control the space. purplegirlcrafts.com — the new home for Purple_girl_crafts!

Starting this website was never really about having a website. It was about creating a reliable home for my paper-crafting community — a place where you can find my designs, tutorials, updates, and instruction sheets without having to fight an algorithm or hunt for a link.

To access my instruction sheet PDFs and shared designs, you will need to create a free membership on the website.

Once you’re a member, you’ll have access to the crafting goodies I share here, all in one place!

I’ll also be making a change to my newsletter. Rather than sending a monthly newsletter, I’ll be posting blogs and updates throughout the month as new videos and designs are released.

What about Facebook and Instagram?

Don’t worry — I’m not disappearing! I’ll still be posting on Facebook and Instagram sharing cards, projects, and other Purple_girl_crafts fun. However, because of the increasing restrictions on links, I will no longer be relying on those platforms to share the direct links to my tutorials and designs.

Instead, my social media posts will point you back to purplegirlcrafts.com, where you can find everything you need.

Think of Facebook and Instagram as the place where I’ll show you what I’m making, and purplegirlcrafts.com as the place where you can come craft along with me!  Thank you for being part of the Purple_girl_crafts community.
